I like the idea of what an outsider like Trump might be able to bring to Washington, but at the same time, I like what a friend of mine said about Cruz seeming to have the moral ascendancy that might help him to be president. That, and his attempts to keep company with Reagan is admirable.

A 70 year old billionaire that has accomplished most of his life goals and has his family set for life is probably not going into this thing with money on his mind.

He probably wants a safe future for his children and grandchildren first and foremost. Secondly with his ego, he wants to be known as the greatest president ever. That's my take and none of the BS I hear has swayed me yet. Keep trying to sway me though, im listening.

The value of money is important to most sane people, but in the case of Mister Trump I don't think the value of money is the root of the importance of money to him. I think to Donald Trump, money is the scoreboard. If he can accumulate more money than anybody else in the world, he must be the most important man in the world. The Presidency is an even more powerful scoreboard than money. If he can be the President of the United States and the richest man in the world at the same time that will make him better than anybody else in the world, including his father. I believe the man is sane, but I think he has some very deep seeded personality defects. Not to mention I think he's still a democrat at heart.

I actually think he is a republican at heart but has been a closet democrat so that he can benefit himself in a democrat ruled city. I like your scoreboard analogy and I think you are on to something there.

I don't think he is lying to reporters now because there is no way to be a closet democrat and answer question after question without tripping up. If you tell the truth, there is nothing to worry about because you don't need to remember your lies. Until I see him start to get caught in some twisted lies, I'm giving him the benefit.

I have a few friends like him and they have a "short man syndrome". It's the same as your scoreboard analogy and they really have something to prove! Trump has some sort of this syndrome. He is not stupid, but he is too quick to pop off! If he doesn't get this under control I think he will implode. But it got him this far.

Wealthy folks become bored. They have everything they want and the only thing left is power. President of the US is (still) the most powerful individual on earth.

I feel strongly about this, and I admittedly became too heated. I should not have implied that Trump supporters are stupid. I apologize to all, I don't believe I've ever met anyone here that is stupid. Misinformed, mistaken maybe, but not stupid. [:D]

I believe Trump would absolutely accept every taxpayer-funded perk that comes with the presidency. He did not become wealthy by looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Why do you give two schitts what perk he would take advantage of instead of what he will do to improve or destroy our great country? Pull your head out of your ass or go vote democrat.

So, perfesser, I suppose you believe he would rather live in his own house, drive his own car, fly his own plane - all at his own expense - instead of having someone else pay for it?

    Brilliant.

His plane is not too shabby.

    Trump will be a disaster.

Exactly why I want him to win. Tear the house down, chaos in DC, fed employees walking off the job, politicians scared, the dem party seeing how much we dispise them and the rep party seeing how bad they are effing up.

Let Trump dismantle it all, better than a revolution!

Besides, what if he actually does a good job? A risk worth taking no?

Talk about Cruz, he may be what you think you want but Cruz is against Social Security and Medicare regardless of what you paid in.

Trump talks of strengthening the program not killing it.

    Cruz is Satan on Steroids

Oh like he and Rubio will be hard on immigraccion....
