So, is he, in your opinion, going to win the GOP ticket to run?

His "cover" has been pretty transparent all this time... to anyone paying attention anyway.[:I]

Yep, and people look to be coming out of the woodwork to support him too. So, with this in mind, will the GOP "put on their red dress" and join their fellow democrats at the hop?

If you think Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction you need to do some research. It is a known fact the Saddam had sarin gas.
Trump is for funding Planned parenthood, he gave a lot to Hillary, he hates George Bush. Wise up.
In any case I think he will talk himself to death before it is over.
Now he is talking about going independent again. He is an ego maniac. He doesn't even know what powers the president has. He doesn't know how the government even works and he doesn't understand the constitution.

And, if you think that Bush had any intention of bringing our troops home whether there was any weapons of mass destruction there or not rather than nation building you're wrong.

The Trump supporter isn't exactly big on facts or details. It is frightening how many ignorant people exist in this country.

He's a big baby who throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He keeps spouting off that he's not being treated fairly by the Republican party and still might go 3rd party (which I fully expect him to do if he loses Super Tuesday...and if he somehow keeps his word and doesn't go 3rd Party a few days after I'll happily pay up my bet to Guvamintcheese)

I will never understand that debacle. We had intelligence that said there were WMD. We found evidence of them, like you note. And GWB was ridiculed to no end that there were no WMD. And when the proof finally came to light-- that there were WMDs in Iraq, two weeks later GWB was all over TV admitting there were no WMDs. I just don't get it.

I think as time goes on and the light shines on Trump the more people will see what his true colors are.

He started well and has said what needed to be said about a lot of things. He played the media like a master, but his vitriol toward any competition and his demagoguing are coming around to bite him.

He will run away in SC but I don't think he will do as well as he expects to and this is going to infuriate him.

    He really lacks class.

Not a chance in heck, Cruz is the SC front runner and will begin to run away with the race after crushing Trump in SC.
The voting public will not play trumps game in SC.

Of course this will lead to Sanders becoming the next President because a whole lot of people who would vote Republican won't with Cruz on the ticket as Potus.

I'd love to see that happen, so you think the polls are that far off? I'd be surprised it what you say actually works out.

They even had Saddam's own admission during his interrogation that he was hyping up his WMD capability in order to keep Iran at bay.

You mean you would love to see the first part LOL

I firmly believe Cruz will trounce Trump.

Sanders will get the nod due to Hillary's train derailing, I just think it is going to happen, it will be too late for Blomberg to get in too.

My concern is that Cruz has alienated much of his own party and will continue to do so, when he needs votes in the Senate and House he may not be able to muster the support. Similar to the Dems not fully supporting Obama but for different reasons.

The truly ignorant are the folks that catogorize a "supporter" as ignorant. It shows a true lack of intellect or the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes.

I have no doubt that GWB believed, like most in the intel community and most in Congess that Iraq had WMD in much great volume than he actually had.

Would even that have justified the invasion?

    No.

I was at a meeting in Quebec in February of 2003, and one of my customers asked what I thought of the impending invasion. I said, the UN probably has legal standing, and it may be justifiable on humanitarian grounds, but I don't see it as something that is necessary.

How can any sane person say he never had WMD's when he used them numerous times against Iran and his own people the Kurds? If I shoot somebody can you say I never had a gun? My dog is smarter than that.
WMDs is not the main reason Iraq was invaded. Saddam would not comply with the conditions of the first war. Just as Iran is not now with the so called nuke deal. It is true that GWB would not have pulled out of Iraq and we would not have the problems we now have with ISIS.

I think the war was a mistake at least in the way it was handled. Saddam had an iron grip on Iraq as far as I recall. And his constant waring with Iran kept them at bay too.

Sort of like the way Russia controlled all those 'Stans before the split.

When we depose a strong leader regardless of how much we dislike them we need a plan for succession that will work.

This is what people don't get.

I reluctantly sided with the warmongers, hoping against hope that they had learned a lesson after Vietnam. Hell no, they did not give one damn about getting bogged down in another perpetual war that divided the country then as it does now, it's their agendas they care about and "nothing" else!!

I can understand why people are atracted to the message Trump is selling. Trump is correct when he says that illegal immigration, Islamic extremism, economic growth and development...and a host of other topics would be getting minimum lip service at best had he not made the clear, though blustering statements he has. His message and those topics resonate with a large part of the electorate.

That said, I am not sure why other candidates have not been able to improve the delivery of his message, and widen the appeal. I can understand and appreciate the disgust and disillusionment with what is called the Establishment. Lord knows they have earned every bit of it. But if ultimately the goal is to replace the leadership, it will take better leadership, not blustering and bravado.

Trump's message is the answer. Trump is not, and we will face serious consequences if we don't take his message forward with better messengers.
