ruger no 1 scope ring ??
had about all i can stand trying to mount a scope on a ruger no. 1V. bought used rifle without rings. bought a set of rings from local pawn shop for $20 good deal huh. NO, they are for a 77 and are diff heights. did some research and found rifle ships with Med rings, ruger #4. bought a set of these only to find i cant get the proper eye relief. did some more research and found you really need offset rings with this rifle. had plenty for room in front of the turret but not enough in the back, ordered one offset ring for the back, a #4 offset. tried to mount the scope only to find a #4 offset ring is much higher than a regular #4. WTH... Anyone have any ideas, this trial and error is getting expensive.

all the newer type scopes have very short tube in front of turret
as well as behind the turret this means you can only move the scope a very short distance because the front and rear bell is also so large and long they don't allow the rings much movement front to back I have had to get out some of my older scopes that have one inch tube in stead of[V][:(][:(!] 30 MM tubes to use with one inch tube ring to get correct eye relief0 -
Had the same problem. One of my No.1s, I bought both front and rear extension rings for the rifle. This help a lot. On the other No.1, I bought a Redfield flat base. This will require the quarter rib to be drill and tap for the Redfield base.(You will have the eye relief you need)A plus is that you can use any turn in rings that will help you. Hope this helps.
