does anyone know if there will be a production lever gun on the market in the near future for this cartridge?

  IIRC, Big Horn Armory has some out there...not cheap though.

  As has been stated, Big Horn has them, and they are not inexpensive. They are on a beefed up Winchester 1886 receiver. They also make them in 500 S&W.
