Dan Wesson 445 Super Mag
If you send a firearm back to a manufacture for repair and it comes back not fixed and you don't know this until you try it out and it blows up at the range, Would the manufacture be responsible?

We do not practice torte law on this forum. That is something that the aggrieved party would need to discuss with an attorney.

+1,
Most Important factor as I see it. Is the ammo you were using. If you weren't using factory loaded ammo. But either your own, or someone else is handloads. Restitution, might be problematic?
The currently made guns, sold under the Dan Wesson name. Are actually made by CZ USA, out of I believe, Kansas? Not the original Dan Wesson's manufacturer out of New York. You sending a New York Dan Wesson, to a different outfit in Kansas. Might be the reason they didn't work on it?0 -
Yes I was using factory 445SM ammo.
There gun smith tried to fix the timing on the pistol and it took two times of me sending it back and he still did not get it right.

if you sent it out to factory First then they should fix it for one charge but if you let a private gun smith work on it first you are out of luck getting the factory to fix it for a charge must less for free 0 -
I would think it would depend on whether or not they said they fixed it. 0 -
Do you have pictures of this blown up gun? 0 -
I do have pictures I just can't figure out how to upload them on this site..... 0 -

Back in the mid 80's my boss had a dud wesson. It had timing issues and would put firing pin dents outside of the primer. I lost interest in that brand right then. I think his had been back to the factory at least once. 0
