A friend wants me to find him a set of grips for a S&W Mod-10 . I'm not a pistol guy , can someone tell me which frame this piece has . I think it might be J but am not sure . I also don't know if they are round butt or square . Thanks folks !! [?] 0 -
Yahoo still has free pic hosting - Flickr.
I looked for measurements but failed to find anything useful. The grips can be round or square butt (common) and round to square or even square to round frame conversions.0 -
The N frame grips are larger.
Email me some pictures.

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between K L or N frame Grips?? I have what I thought were K/L grips but was told they are N.
I have pictures of the grips but no hosting site.
As you say K, L, and X frame all take the same grips.
N is very similar but a little bit larger and the groove at the very top of the grip where it meets the frame is a little different.
Honestly, I have a hard time telling the difference by eye. I don't think I could tell from a picture.
Easiest way is to just see if they fit on your gun, or barring that, compare them to another set you've got.0
