Takedown plug is at the rear end of the slide. Retract slide just a little, and push in on the plug. It should slide in and allow the slide to be lifted up at the rear.

On this schematic, the takedown plug is called a firing pin retainer.

don't know the level of your firearms knowledge, but those are the very very bottom of the barrel firearms. No offense meant, just hoping to inform.

I figure he probably knows that, since he has it in hand.

BTW, a long time ago, I sold a handgun of similar design, a Davis P-380, on GunBroker. Buyer returned it, stating that the pistol was defective, that he had been unable to take it down.

The pistol was not defective. The dummy simply didn't know how to take it down, and wouldn't ask anyone or check Youtube. He tried to PRY the slide off the frame using a screwdriver and broke the frame and slide. My refund to the buyer reflected the value of the grips and magazine only.

I give peedad credit for asking how to take down the pistol, and not just taking a screwdriver to it.

I'm thinking that the firing pin spring (and perhaps the firing pin itself) needs to be pushed in a little with a small diameter rod/tube so the slide can tip up so you can then slide it forward to take it off. I think it/they are stuck in a notch/recess at the back of the slide. If that doesn't work then try Push in, lift a little, back rod off a little lift a little more, rinse/repeat. Look into the hole using a good light first.

Bubba might done his magic already by crushing it in a vice to securely hold it while doing his 'gunsmithing'. Hey what's this left over do and where did it fit?

Chop saw will get it apart quickly, and save anyone else the privilege of owning it again.[;)]
