IIRC the barrel is easy in and out, the sheet metal cover is harder.

Back in the 70's I reassembled a basket case without having a schematic, not a lot of fun.

Very simple, just did this myself to clean my son's nylon. You tube is your friend.

Just be careful not to lose the ejector from the left side of the uncovered action.
Disassembly of the innards is a snap for an ambitious teenager.
Re-assembly is a frustrating test of patience, dexterity, and willpower for a 40 year old.

In Steve's schematic, part number 25 will fall out
if the firing pin retainer falls out.
It is a spring that returns the firing pin to the rear after ignition.
If firing pin does not return there are misfires sometimes.
It gives it more travel and hits the rim fire cartridge harder.
It also keeps the firing pin off off a live 22 lr.
The retainer pin is just a piece of bent wire with a sharp end.
The pin is bent slightly to hold in place and will come
out if bolt is removed from action.

The spring is very small and you ain't gonna find it on the dirty floor.

Use magnetic rubber sheet to save lose parts from getting away.
    Works for me.

Geri, that is the most simple and easiest idea I've seen in a long time. I feel like a fool for having never thought of it. Even more so thinking about all those little parts I had to look for! Thank you![:)]

It's the small springs that leave on their own with a resounding 'twang' that nothing but a 'Clean room' will help, at least in my experience.
