Why the lock??????

Why is the "polish a nylon 66 stock" locked? I read through it twice and can't see what would provoke a lock.

Three other locked threads as well.

    Yes, the "10 reply lock rule" applies only to the Experts Forum. The other Forums may get locked if things get out of hand, violation of Forum rules, inappropriate language, or any other reason as determined by a Moderator or Administrator.

    It was started by the venerable Captain Kirk in days of yore (about 1999). He reasoned that it was a question and answer forum, not a discussion forum. Keeps things moving, though it has slowed in recent years.
