.375
what rifle would you reccomend to buy in the .375 caliber. I am partial to the pre 64 winchester 70 but have read the stock sometimes crack around the tang in the big calibers. I am from the old school and prefer the wooden stocks but might consider synthetic ????

I have one of the new production Winchester 70 rifles in .375 H&H. Made at the FN plant in S. Carolina. Seems to be well made and looks good too. 0 -
A good synthetic properly set up will be recoil proof and weather proof for hunting in all field conditions, not much to look at though. 0 -
CZ - a fine gun still in production

I have a MAUSER 98 with receiver made to take the 375 H & H wood stock bought from ad on the old shot gun news 30 years ago and barrel heavier than sporter weight but not bull barrel I love it 0
