Night Sights

I want to put night sights on some of my pistols. What brands are good - what are good combinations?

  What are night sights? I saw some on a SKS, big fold up thing, how do they work.

  I've always been fond of the Trijicons. They seem to be well built and are real easy (for me) to see in dim or dark situations.
