Rossi 22 rifle experts??

Was mod. 62 SAC (carbine) ser#'s in the G322--- range only imported in 1986? And is the finish stainless or nickel plated? Thanks

  I don't know about the serial numbers, but stainless Rossis were made much later. A 1986 model would be nickel plated, I believe.

  My information shows the 62 SAC in SS was imported in 1998 only, 16-1/2" barrel. The 62 SA in SS was imported in 1986 only. 23" barrel.

  i think taurus bought rossi...i have several in 22lr and 22 magnum...really like the short barreled model as they handle easy in a small pickup or tractor..stainless 62sac in 1998 only $280...62sa stainless in 1986 only $192....taurus 62 carbine/rifle began 1999, had the mickey mouse safety switch on top all 16.5 or 23"...extra $10 for octagon ...like to find a short bbl in 22 mag..neat little 22s
