My BIL inherited this piece and asked me about date of mfgr and value. I can't find the date (S/N 69725) in my Fjestad book. Any help appreciated.

I looked around on the S&W collector forum, 1895 to 1897 is my best guess based on what I read there. [60xxx shipped in late 1895]

You have the S&W .32 Safety Hammerless 1st Model. Serial #range 1 - 91417. There were 91,417 of these manufactured in the years 1888 - 1902. The Serial #69725 indicates manufactured approx in the 1898 - 1899's years.
