Need some info on a Sears md53

Need some info on a Sears md53. Customer inherited a nice rifle in 270. But some how they lost the magazine spring an follower. Form what little i can find this was a Winchester Model 70, sold under Sears name. Will a standard Winchester parts fit this rifle??

  according to a cross reference guide I have a sears model 53 is a winchester model 70. but I don't know if the parts interchange my guess would be yes, you may check numrich arms and see it the part is the same part number between the two rifles.

  Yes the sears model 53 is on the crossover list as made by Winchester 70 so good chance the spring will fit

  Agree ( they're actually post 1963, since 1964 is when they first came out[:)]).. And also specify Long Action, Standard Caliber.. The longer Magnums use the Long Action, but a larger magazine box..
