    Yes Todd, those "football cutouts", are for the use of speed loaders, and would be on the left side, as that is the side where the cylinder swings out.

    As already mentioned, the "cutout" is to let you use a speedloader, and it goes on the left, where the cylinder swings out. You can see the same thing in these nice Craig Spegel grips in the image on the left.

    Not incidentally, I don't think you really get a choice here. . .the grips won't fit the other way.

    There are numerous models that have footballs on both sides, as well as reliefs for logos. Just wanted to see if it needed 1 or 2 footballs.

    You would need the cutouts that show the frame and not the hollowed out wood for that vintage.
