1894 Winchester dom also Bert ?
I have an 1894 Winchester src 25-35 serial # 950035 would like to know when it was made. Also it has a shotgun butt and was wondering if this was a special order buttstock with this low serial number. The gun is all original family gun. As always any info is appreciated.

The serial number makes it a December 1922 production SRC.
Shotgun butt stocks & butt plates were a special order option for the SRC as early as late 1894 (and serial number 950035 is not a "low" serial number by any stretch of the imagination).
Which type of butt plate does it have, e.g. a black hard rubber, a smooth steel, a checkered steel, etc. ? It should also have a Fluted comb butt stock... does it? Does it have a full length magazine tube?0 -

It is not factory original! The flat checkered steel butt plate was not introduced until early 1946. At the time serial number 950035 was made, all Model 94 Carbines with a special order Shotgun butt were also made with a fluted comb butt stock. What you are looking at is a "Frankenchester".0 -
