Winchester 70 consecutive set 1947
I've been looking at a set of consecutively numbered Model 70 carbines, made in 1947, one in 300 H&H, one in .375 H&H, #76315 #76316. This is the first time I've seen a consecutive pre-64 set. Anyone with any info on these?

Sounds interesting and expensive, can you post pic's? 0 -
It's on Guns International, item #100836607 0 -
The first thing I would do, is to confirm that Winchester did make Carbines in those chamberings. It seems counter productive to burn all of that powder outside of the barrel. 0 -
Both of them are fakes. 0 -
Oh boy, it pays to ask the experts!! 0 -

The reason that they look original is because the person who made them is very good at what he does... building fake "rare" Model 70s. If you want the details, sends me a Private Message. I am not going to discuss this further on an open forum.0 -
Aww, why not? Seems like we need to publicize these crooks. 0 -
Thanks. I would like the details. My closest friend has purchased several guns from that seller. How do I send you a private message? 0 -
Double click on Burt's name. Select send person an email right under his picture. Make sure your listed e-mail address for your account is current. 0 -

Because the people involved have previously threatened with lawsuits, though I doubt that there is any real teeth to it. If you want the details, send me a PM.0
