Colt border patrol .357
Friend has a border patrol in .357. Is either stainless or nickel. He said it was 95 percent. But Id say 85. Anyone know a ball park value. I'm not finding much on these.

So the advanced search of completed auctions has 10 hits 2 real sales for nickeled 4" nice at $700 (4 bids) and $800 (5 bids) plus 6 blue sky no bids of the same custom unit of $2800 down to $2500

Being as Charlie notes, "Nickeled". Any finish loss at all, such as "flaking" of the Nickel. Really has a very negative effect on the resale value.
Unless your friend is willing to cut you, a very generous type of BIL deal. I would just walk away from it. Any handgun with a very substantial Nickel finish loss. Difficult to sell.
If you want to buy it as a shooter, at a shooters price OK. Sure wouldn't pay $700/$800 for one @ 85%.0 -
Thanks guys. I'm not going to buy it. He just wanted to know what he had. They seem to be scarce. Ive not examined the gun. Just going by what he said. Everyone seems to think their gun is in better condition than it really is. It may be a 95 percent revolver. What I could tell they only made a few over 1100 in nickel finish. The way colts are priced these days. I thought it might be a mint for him. 0 -
The old saying condition, condition condition..BUT since it is scarce I would have it put up on here for a dollar start NR auction and think he would be happy with results..imo. maybe a 9 day one. my 3 cents. 0
