Here is where I get load data:

If none of our members have any specific data, for the 8mm-06 with a 170 grain bullet. You might consider using 30-06 data, for a 180 grain bullet.
Being that a 8mm bullet, is .015 larger in diameter than a 30 caliber bullet. The chamber pressure/velocity, will be lower using 30-06 data.0 -
One of my favorite wildcats as a kid was an 8mm-06, too bad the double set trigger was removed before dad acquired the rifle. I worked up loads for both H4831 and H4895 that I bought in a paper sack from the super store for $2/#.
I shot up every open box of bullets I could buy cheap at the gun shows.
My favorite cast bullet load was the Lyman 323470 with the H4895, running bunnies at 100 yards were easy pickings.
I still have some of the Speer 225 gr. I only shoot regular 8x57 these days.
8?64mm S Brenneke is very close.0 -

Which bullet? Unless we know which bullet we're simply generating a list that you can find online. Cartridge loads are specific to the particular bullet since the length (shape) of the bullet and weight will make a difference in how much powder is used. We could also use the OAL of the cartridge/chamber you have.

bullet is speer 170 grain product number 2283. Can not locate any
4895 loads, and I have a large supply and it is my 8x57m powder
choice.
so I suppose I will work up a load from a safe base point with my chrony
and come to a satisfactory load based on my needs. I dont intend on keeping this
rifle, a recent acquisition but plan on selling it having proven its performance of accuracy and power to a potential new owner.0 -
MY SPEER #13 BOOK LISTS THE 8MM/06 AND 170 GN BULLET WITH IMR 4895 FROM A STARTING LOAD OF 46.0 GNS TO A MAX OF 50.0 FOR VEL. OF 2303/2543 0 -
IMR 4895 is a very forgiving powder as far as reduced charges are concerned. Start very conservatively and work you way up to your velocity goal. Choose brass that will allow you to replicate later(common domestic 30/06). 0
