In my view since it is sans box and has been handled, and because it is USRAC it has little more value than 94 shooter. 32-40 might give it a little cachet. $800

Box, paperwork, and all original accessories. Are a major factor in collectors value. As far as the commemoratives are concerned.

If the rifle is in a truly unhandled/mint condition. It still might have substantial value. As some folks have put together stashes of boxes, accessories etc. Just for rifles similar to yours, that can be upgraded.

Be advised though, these guys are pros and very picky. I've seen them going over commemoratives. With a magnifying glass, looking for the slightest blemish.

Very few commeratives have collector value...Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails unlimited, Pheasants Forever, State commeratives...They cost more to get prettied up at the doll up house, but drop that value, like the proverbial stone. to about the same value as their contemporary standard counterparts.

I would say right now, between $700.00, and $1000.00, with the saving grace is that it says John Wayne.

My understanding also. Winchester made so many commenoratives that they bring little more than the value of a production rifle of the time.

One of my local gun store has one hanging on a wall. I'll have to ask about their price and see what else comes with.

Basically it is a problem of "No Box.... No Bucks" Or at least fewer of them!
