Japanese Nambu Holster T-26???

    Definitely Japanese and not for the Type 14.
    Look on the inside where the revolver would have printed the cylinder impression.

    It appears to be VERY similar to a Type 26 holster, but there should be leather loops for 18 rounds of ammunition inside the pocket. Perhaps those 3 loops are meant to hold 15 round boxes of Nambu ammo. (Reference: Military Holsters of World War II by Eugene J. Bender, Rowe Publications, 1984, P 129. )

    Believe the previous poster is correct. Got this photo off the net. The French and Japanese revolver holsters, were quite similar. Except for the provision for carrying extra ammo. Also I believe the Japanese holster had a integral pocket for a cleaning rod.

    I think rufe-snow may have it: It's French. My MAS 1892 revolver's holster has those loops, but they're NOT inside a pocket like this example.

    Found it GOOGLEing, don't remember search term. Might be "French revolvers", or "French holsters"?
