Ruger police service six in 9mm

I bought a Ruger police service six, blue NIB with a 4 inch barrel. Gun has never been fired, has the box all the paper work, half moon clips. Said he bought it in 1980. Does anyone know what these things are selling for?

  The only one sold recently enough to come in the search was a 3" listed with a $700 start and $900 buy now. Someone used the buy now.

  I would expect well North of $1000.00. There was a guy on here a few years ago, liquidating his late father's estate. His father worked for Ruger, or had an in at Ruger, and he had some of these, among many other Ruger treasures.

  Sounds appropriate.
  I did not know there was a Service Six 9mm.
  I looked hard for a Speed Six 4" 9mm and could not find one over the period it would have been competitive in IDPA.

  Couple years ago I sold SP101, 3 inch, for $950.00 Yours would probably go for more with box, paperwork, and unfired.
