1894 Winchester question for Bert
A friend of mind picked up an anomaly of a 1894 30-30. Haven't seen it yet, but it's a 20" round barrel carbine with a crescent buttplate S/N 14902x. The theft side of the receiver has R. J. Sheard Tacoma WA (My home town) engraved on it. Please feel free to PM me for the last number.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The receiver should actually be marked "W.F. SHEARD"
Stop by YNFB-39 (on the quay wall next to Dry Dock 4) and ask for Bert.0 -
Bert, It was an extreme pleasure to meet you in person yesterday! Thank you for all of the information that you provided to me. I talked to my friend with the rifle, he is good about bringing it over to my place if you want to take a look at it. (I'll be off line for 2 weeks TDY and be back on 02/04). 0 -
Likewise, it was nice to meet you as well. Stop by when you get back, and we can work out a good day to look it over closely. 0 -
