trigger spring
What is the best way to trim a tempered v- leaf trigger springs length ? I had to cut one with a dremel wheel and think it lost it's temper, I thought I kept it wet enough with water, apparently not, it lasted for 8 shots before breaking in the v section [B)]........any suggestions, hacksaw, grinder etc. ?

does the trigger spring on the glock have to be oliled 0 -
no,, oil collects dirt 0 -
OK :
Correct ! Do Not Oil !
Thanks !!!0 -
Oil prevents rust. Yes-oil it. 0 -
Technically, oil does nothing for a spring, except prevent rust. Glock's require minimal lubrication to function properly...a drop on the frame/slide rails, and that is about it.

From what I have read and experienced guns are machines with moving parts, machines with moving parts should be lubricated and protected from rust. I agree oil will collect dirt but that is why I clean mine after every use. If you don't clean after every use running less lube may be better but could cause wear over a long time. Agree springs do not need oil, but rust prevention is important.
Once again...This question pertains specifically to the Glock Trigger Spring. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.0 -
When in doubt, go to the Glock website and look up your gun's owner's manual. 0 -
