Remove model 12 winchester barrel?

How hard is it to take off a Winchester model 12 barrel,Have a 1950"s model with a cutts compensator.would like to put another barrel on it without a cutts.

  gotta be careful if it hasn't been off for a while, otherwise as ricci said, very easy.

  Pull the pin, turn it and remove barrel...Bingo...

  As Mike says, the removal of the barrel proper from the assembly is a job that can go bad very easily. There are are very thin sections that will deform at the slightest provocation.
