Walther PPK/S DOM

Walther PPK/S SER# S010370.
It says Interarms Alexandria Virginia on the slide.
Can someone tell me the DOM?

  I have a German-made Walther PPK/S I bought in the late 1970's, possibly 1979 if I recall. The left side of the slide is stamped "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.", PPK/S Cal. 9mm kurz" and "Made in W. Germany". The right side has the serial number of 222807 followed by the German eagle over "N". It's also stamped "Interarms Alexandria Virginia", obviously the importer. The barrel is also stamped with the eagle over "N" and also the letters "HH" next to an antler symbol. However, there is no year stamped anywhere on the barrel as I have seen on others. It came in a black plastic box with the Walther logo and contains the cleaning rod, manual, target, extra mag, etc. The manual is printed on the back "CARL WALTHER SPORTWAFFENFABRIK 79 ULM (DONAU). Might the "79" be the year of printing? If so, is there anything on the gun that can identify the year of manufacture if not 1979? Is there a source for serial numbers so I can verify the DOM or can anyone tell me?
  
  Also, I would conservatively rate the gun at 90% but it's probably closer to 95%. What are these German-made .380's bringing nowadays with box & papers?

  Should be a 2 digit year stamped on the barrel.

  Serial number not in my reference? Likely it was either made by Manurhin, after Walther canceled their production agreement. Or it's one of the pistols made by Ranger Manufacturing, in the U.S. for Interarms.

  It is like the one on the auction side(item#615715639)which also has an S prefix in the SER#.

  Kind of confusing situation. The stainless PPK/s was made by Interarms, from the early 80's, until they went out of business in the late 90's.
  
  But the Blue Book says they were put back into production. Since interarms has been out of business for years. Don't know who's making them, or how they are marked? Your serial seems to be on the low side. Probably dates to no later than the mid 80's?

  Look in the ejection port to see if there is a symbol (antler or other) stamped on the barrel with a number beside it. This is the proof mark & date.

  These proof marks your referring to, are the ones found on German made PPK/S's. They are required by German law. Wouldn't be found on a US made PPK/S. Unless the PPK/S, had been resold as a used pistol in Germany.
