Winchester 94 post 64 saddle ring
I plan to replace the missing saddle ring on a recently acquired Winchester 94 Trapper.
The only rings I have found for sale online look to have been stretched or pulled open at the split to remove from the mount making it impossible to close them all the way.
I hope to find one in nice condition that has been twisted to open.
I may have to purchase a mount and ring together then remove the ring.
I would appreciate comments from anyone that has tried this before.
Ill be working with a post 64 ring made from 5/32in. wire not the thicker 11/64in. pre 64 type ring.
Comments? suggestions?
Thank You

You could possibly use a stretched ring by twisting it to the side and then squeezing it to reduce the diameter so the ends meet when twisted back after installing on the stud. 0 -
I may have to give that a try.
