45ACP small primer brass
I picked up about 30 Blazer, once fired, brass and noted that the primer pockets are for small pistol...After priming them with Small Pistol Primers I remembered that we had some discussions on this subject some time back.
A search didn't produce anything, but as I remember it, the discussion had to do with using magnum small pistol primers when reloading small primer pocket 45acp brass instead of the standard small pistol primers.
Does anyone recall these discussions, if so is it necessary to switch to magnum primers when loading SPP brass?.

if you are using faster pistol powders I don't think it will make any difference 0 -
No.
Depending on the powder, you might lose 25-40 fps vs large Primers or you might not lose any.0 -
Thanks for the replies... I load my 45 ACP to about 800 to 850 fps using HS-6 or Unique so I will stick with the small primers...good enough for poking holes in paper. 3
