    Sorry...

I have original load data from rocky Gibbs for the .270 gibbs...

Brass made by greyback wildcats and cartridges loaded by superior ammunition...

My gun has an Fn commercial Mauser reciever as its heart.

My gun was made by rocky - a special commission.

My PO Ackley books might have data, but I'm in the hospital for a while. I had a 300 Gibbs made on an O3A3 re-heat treatment mid numbers range. Likely in the top 5 rifles I ever owned.

I shot full cases of H4831 under 165 - 173 BT in fire formed 57NM brass.

use 280 ackley load data, and work up from there. The Gibbs shoulder, assuming correct chambering, will have the shoulder a little more forward, and therefore have slightly more internal capacity.

My ackley loves H4831sc and heavy pills.

Your welcome Woody. I think if I was him I would have the barrel set back and get it re-chambered to 280 Ackley Improved, unless it is a sentimental or valuable rifle. The AI is just about as good works the brass less and is easier all around to load for.
