The so called earned income tax credit gives a yearly welfare check to people that contribute nothing.
Time to end a waste of tax dollars.

  Yes yes yes.
  
  It will never ever happen though. Has broad support amongst both parties.
  
  Frankly, I would eliminate all tax credits.
  
  I can almost understand low income people not paying any taxes. But I never will understand people getting a "refund" for far, far more than they ever paid in.

  Several years ago I did the income tax for the daughter of a friend.
  She is unmarried and has one child. She paid in about 1300 and got a refund of almost 8000.

  yes and in about a month they are broke again, we had a saying when I was growing up(minority rich). mr myopic.
