President Donald Trump signed an executive order which imposes a hiring freeze on federal government workers, except for members of the military.

Over a period of years this should reduce the federal workforce by ONE MILLION workers via, consolidation and elimination of departments, retirement, death, and employees who don't want to work but WERE happy with the pay.

According to an official within the Department of Energy, the Trump transition team has declined to ask the head of the National Nuclear Security Administration and his deputy to temporarily stay in their roles after Trump takes office on January 20th.

The National Nuclear Security Administration was created by Congressional action in 1999 and the current budget is $13 BILLION PER YEAR ! will the U.S. be safer if it was only 2 Billion? or less or maybe ELIMINATED or combined with another department. Really,, did anyone feel safer after 1999.
