Well it looks like a Doctor got infected and they brought him back to the States.

He is in quarantine in Nebraska.

A U.S. healthcare worker who may have been exposed to the Ebola virus while treating patients in the Democratic Republic of Congo arrived in the United States on Saturday and was put in quarantine in Nebraska.

The medic, who is not exhibiting symptoms of Ebola, will remain under observation for up to two weeks at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska Medicine said in a statement.

The individual's name was not released for privacy reasons.

Symptoms such as fever and abdominal pain may appear up to three weeks after contact with the deadly virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

    While I applaud his desire to go over and try and help, bringing him back over to the States is really not very smart in my opinion.

    Why tempt fate and increase the chance of an outbreak here in the United States?


    While mentioning "Outbreak," see the movie if you have not. Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman (I believe.) Several other good actors. Pretty good movie. Would be fairly realistic on what would take place.

    Look like fun? I don't think so.

    Here we go again importing disease and exposing our population to a potentially unmanageable epidemic. The roots of this plague are in the DRC, keep it there. If a treatment is available, employ it there.

    sure did a few years ago and a couple people here got infected...i think it is ABSOLUTE STUPIDITY to import this in to the geographical center of the whole country..think of the cost and guarantee of isolating patient from point A to point B ....keep em in a bottle all the way ??? seems more sensible and safe to export clean medical to point A and take your chances there ....but then it appears the unfortunate have more stroke over common sense safety here...to me

    The only way to stop ebola is to quarrantine the area, nothing gets in or out. When the disease runs its course & all are dead you burn everything. EVERYTHING !

    I just wonder who makes these decisions for transporting this potential risk into our country?

    Are there any laws on the books that would make it difficult to do or are these occurances just done because the patient\doctor has $$$$?

    I admire those folks a bit that feel compelled enough to help that they are willing to risk their lives,....I just don't feel that other's lives should be put on the line for them to do their calling.

    So far we have been lucky, but one day something like this is going to get loose and wreak havoc I'm afraid.

    Not to be too Serf like, but that is in the NWO playbook. Reducing the Worlds population. What better way, to accomplish that?

    Sam06 and I have both been to NBC school. Chemical and Biological threats are much more likely to occur, than Nuclear. (IMHO.) It is very scary stuff.

    I remember reading a similar story about 3 years ago.
    So this is not really that unusual for that to happen.

    Ya'll are correct this has happened before. They had a woman at Emory in Atlanta and she was "cured".

    The problem is like chicken pox the virus is in you FOREVER.



    The best cure is a flame thrower or like said above let it run and then burn everything. The problem is its not 100% so you will have to burn survivors too.


    I think its the height of negligence to bring an infected person to the US or anywhere outside the quarantined compound in the DRC.

    Once you get it and survive thru it you are safe.

    The last time it got here Obama let them in, Docs & patients. We got lucky nobody else got it.
    The fools who allow this are the same ones who moved the labs from Plum Island to the middle of cattle country. The biggest threat out of that place is anthrax. I believe it's the CDC & Homeland security that do these things.
    So yup wipe out half the population & start over with Communism.

    Whe we were even more raycist than we are now we would turn away people that had a disease. Ellis island has a sanatorium for them and they would be sent back to their country of origin.
