My classic GB conundrum

My favorite thing to buy on GB is used high quality scopes/optics.

Im am in the hunt for a low magnification scope somewhere between 1-4 and 1-8 and a good deal. This would be to drop onto an AR for 3 gun - so needs to he high quality.

My dilemma is I have found two suitable units on GB- the lesser desirable and maybe not as good of a deal ends tomorrow, the more desirable doesn?t end for about a week.

So I have to choose

Buy the less desirable item now, or roll the dice and eother get the wodget I really want but possibly lose both.

    Are there any bids? If not the crappier of the two might roll over. Also which one has the better warranty?

    I like my Vortex 1-4 X24 V-Brite and Cantilever 30mm Mount. I like them so much I got two or three of the same set up.

    Spend the cash for the better one. Or just buy NcStar by the six pack [:D].

    Not trying to change your mind or make unwanted suggestions but why would you not use a holo sight or something similar for competitive shooting like 3 gun? Just curious because I know myself I have trouble with sight picture when trying to look through a scope quickly or trying to maintain sight licture during recoil even with a light round like the 5.56.

    Why not get them both? You'll probably need two anyway. You know, down the road.

    My experience is that while lesser items are often available, the better grades may not surface again for a long time. As Yosh said, the lesser may not get any bids and be relisted, so I'd focus my attention on the better example.

    In optics, more than most things, you get what you pay for. Better is better.

    I have a 1.25x4x30 bushnell 4200 with a variation of a German #4 reticle and a red dot in the center of the cross hairs. Wonder how that would work for your purpose. I have it mounted on the .375 H&H, can use it with both eye open. It's fast and can be dialed up to 4x so distance shooting is an option too.

    Forgot to answer the question. Buy what you want, no sense in buying twice.

    I have a Burris XTR II 1.5 x 8 x 28 5.56 Gen 3 ballistic illuminated reticle I'd like to dump below the $1200 list price. If interested I can do an auction specific to you with a buy it now price.
