Flu season
Had it for the last week. Caught it in the first day and went right to the doctors. It has almost ran it course for me. Wife came down with it yesterday. [V] Try getting meds that you can take, with heart disease. My family doctor, had to call my cardiologist, to see what I could take for it. They got it figured out, and it worked[^]
Here is the problem. Had a small, very small, episode, with my heart last Friday. I was supposed to go into the hospital today for a cardiac cath, and stent replacement. Just have to wait another week they said. One of the seven stents failed. I feel fine and am doing great.[:)] Oak

It's in high gear. About 30% of the of the patients in my ER yesterday had it. 0 -

we both got our flu shots early...after many years of NOT shots the newer killed virus has helped if their best guess on the coming strain is close......keep up with heart issues and keep on posting...us old guys are thinnin out...last few months had nine funerals of friends here.. 5 of them younger....need a break... 0 -

Flu season is starting early as it maybe bad this year. I usually wait until November to get the flu shot so it will last longer in the spring, but may get ASAP.0 -
We got the extra0strength-for-old-farts flue shot before we went to Europe. Caught a mild cold, but so far no flu. Threat that heart condition Oakie and stay strong. 0 -

Two weeks ago for me. I try to get it as soon as it comes out. That has worked for me so far .

I have acouple of cardiac stents, installed about 7 ? years ago.
How do you know they may fail?
Only got a flu shot once years ago and never got the flu so don't think they work. [;)]
Last several years, come spring, the news reports the flu shot given in the fall was for the wrong stain so useless. [:0]
I was getting some small chest pain, resembling a heart attack, but not as bad. I had a Cardiac CT scan, and it showed that one of the stents is 85% collapsed. Sometimes they just fail, like an mechanical device, is what the doc said. They usually last about 15 to 20 years in most cases.0 -
1918 flu killed an estimated 50 million people...and several studies trace the beginning?? from Haskell county kansas to Camp Funston (Fort Riley) and on thru soldiers shipped all over the country and Europe... nasty stuff ..quick onset to quick death....and this could happen again with large areas of the world living in close proximity to animals and todays rapid transit to many countries...me taking a flu shot as a preventitve(hopefully) is a no brainer... 0 -

Stenosis is what you have. They get a ballon in you - good luck -You be lifting 250 reps in no time
