How Things Change
I have scored the winning touchdown in a football game, stopped someone from scoring to win a football game.
Knocked in the winning run to win baseball games but i think the greatest feeling in my life is when my granddaughters see me in a room full of people and run to you calling papa.
And then the tickle monster gets her.[;)]

Gosh yes Dave. I know the feeling,its just wonderful when a grandchild so proudly announces before all, "that's my papa". 0 -
My first grandchild is due in February. I am still trying to mentally digest that, although seeing the baby clothes showing up that the missus has bought, is definitely a reminder that it's real.[:)] 0 -

I agree Dave.
My almost 10 year old grandson wanted to hang out with me most of the day. He helped swap the mower deck out and grease up the u joints and snow brush and put that on. Then he made a couple passes near the door with the brush. Then we were building something and I had him cutting some wood with the bandsaw. My hands were on his arms though. Told his mom he can?t wait to come back so we can make her some new parts for her wooden out door deer decorations!
Really a good feeling to start to teach them some things.0 -

Our 2 daughters blessed us with triplet grandkids and twin grandkids born 60 days apart...We went from 1 to 6 grandkids in 60 days...2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. They in turn gave us 7 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters...Holidays at PaPaw's and Nana's house is controlled chaos and greatly enjoyed 0 -
My grandkids come first now. My kids want to know where the Dad from hell went. Yep I was tough, just like my Dad.

Yep, I was Captain of all my sports teams in high school.
Now I live vicariously through my grandkids. I know without a doubt I get more of a kick out of them scoring the winning run/touchdown/goal, or hitting a homerun or shooting out the X-ring when we go shooting than I did when I was doing it myself...[^]0
