Mavis tire rant
So I have ALWAYS used Geralds tire, a local place that is great. I was closer to a Mavis tire and had time so I had them replace 4 tires and a front end alignment. While waiting, four other people came in with receipts that had issues, that had me a little concerned. One lady came back after the "fix" and still had issues, she was there when I left. Needless to say they were too busy to do the alignment, they wanted me to come back which I declined and got my money back for the alignment they couldn't do.
I get less than a mile down the road and the car feels funny so I pulled over not one but TWO front tires are flat. wth
I called and they said they would send someone to remove the two tires and bring me back to the shop while they repaired them.
I missed two service calls and worse they came in a two seater truck adn couldn't take me! So I get left in a hot parking lot with my car up on jack stands. I went to a Mexican restaurant in the parking lot and had two Margaritta's the kid who served me did a shot with me on the house since I was having a bad day. I tipped him ten bucks Great kid I will go back there.
The guys come back and put two tires on my car and want to leave I said not NO but HELL no, you will follow me back to the shop to check the other two.
When I get back I speak with the Manager who offers me two free oil changes not no but HELL no. I will NEVER go anywhere except Geralds again.
Anyway after getting poopty which I hate but sadly it is the only way to be treated decent today he calls his "home office" to see if he can get me a hundred dollars off. I lost more money than that not being able to get to two service calls.
Home office isn't responding can I come back tomorrow HELL NO, so finally he gives me a hundred bucks out the drawer. FIVE hours into the four tires replaced!

They probably put the stem on and got side tracked and never filled it. Makes me wonder if the people after you got your jacked up front tires as "new".
Also was the kid 21? Be funny you done did the contributing to under age drinking.0 -

Don't know about other places, but in MO, the person serving alcohol must be of legal drinking age.0 -
He was the Bar tender and he served me the shot, I only tipped him.
As for the stems leaking the car was fine just sitting outside, no hissing, the low air pressure light only came on when I noticed it driving odd. I guess the additional pressure from steering/driving the car helped accelerate the leak?

w/o describing the "leak" there's no way to determine how/why a new set of tires went flat within a mile. 0 -
