Brownells & PMAG ?

I bought a bunch of AR magazines when Obummer was in office and i put a cheap metal safe in my shop. Its hard to get into but it is not fireproof.

I am taking extra mags and stuff and putting them in ammo cans and filling the safe up.

I have 50 unopened mags from Brownells and PMAG 2s.

I was thinking of loading the mags with 25 rounds each. That would save a bunch of space. Or would it be better to just leave them in the plastic wrapper?

I can only get 8 to 10 mags in a ammo box. Depends on which box i use. I have space at the end to store stuff.

Load or unload. LOL

    just me leave them unloaded in the bag ( who knows what some panic buying would drive the price up depending on who is in office or just like bump stocks just a whip of the pen and there all illegal )
    I know the springs are suppose to be good if left under tension for years but why chance it
    just my 2 cents and have I have my extra p-mags stored in there wrapper in plastic totes not in a safe ( locker )
    also why put them in ammo cans maybe just stack them in the safe / locking cabinet it would save space

    Thats a good point. I put them in ammo cans to try and keep things neat. I have my ammo cans numbered with whats in them.

    I have a lot of different mags for different guns. I just look at my list and the label on the can and get what i want.

    Some cans have mags while other cans have grips or sights. I have used all of the space my wife lets me have in the house so i am moving things to my shop. So i can buy more ammo.

    All the ammo stays in the house along with my powder and primers.

    I use the ammo cans for storage and as you for magazines for different firearms and parts . I just use a strip of tape and write whats in the them on the out side facing to make it easy to see in a glance ,
    also use a lot of the plastic totes ( they come in every size some have seals also ) same labeled with whats in them .
    I was selling gun parts on the auction ( [:0] the other one )but had so many projects I stopped for a while . but the totes work well to keep similar parts together and also keep them from getting scuffed or dinged ( gun stocks and similar ) while storing / moving around the parts
    I also use the ammo cans for ammo of all things [:D] I toss in a couple small dry packs the cans have rubber seals I keep them in the pole barn never had a issue with the storage causing any problems .

    I would place the ammo on stripper clips and keep in an ammo box with a spoon or two. Keep mags separate. Works well for GIs and you can really load mags up fast when you have to,
