Brother the Fed Employee on vacation

My Brother works for DOD as a Civilian, currently off and will be paid as usual same as any other shut down. He sends me his thanks for the extended break as a tax payer.

So somehow the cost to shut down the Government exceeds the actual operation of it and yet the Democrats insist on making a show of this.

EVERY single Democrat who was in office supported walls and border protection prior to it becoming a Trump issue.

So in reality while the Leftist media won't call them on it and Americans are too stupid to remember this whole batch of nonsense that will cost Americans money is due to the Democrats needing to rub Trumps face in the mud.

Everyone of them should be hung by the neck until dead in the streets of DC. And that includes the GOP who have failed as well.

Trump can just go back to being Trump.

No sane person would disagree that borders exist and need to be protected. Any idiot could reason that the same people the South Americans are running from could just as easily cross a open border and create the same issues here that you just ran away from!

    Most tenants will destroy an apartment and move on. They know there are other apartments out there for them to destroy after they destroy their new apartment...

    South America is a continent and not many are coming into the U.S. with the exception of Venezuela. The South Americans fly directly into the U.S. and have visa's or passports. Overstaying is another matter.

    The people causing the problems are from Central American countries.
    Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, Honduras, Uruguay and El Salvador.

    The U.S. could let them all in if they give us their countries.[:p] Just think of the "squeeze" we'd have on Mexico.

    The U.S. is a little behind on the shift from left to right, it's been going on in South America for a while.

    Brazil, which is the size of the Continental U.S. and just elected a Right leaning (non Marxist) president. Just for info. an assassination attempt was made of his life and he almost died about a year before his election.

    Presiden is already under media attack.

    One of the orders issued late Tuesday, hours after his inauguration, likely will make it all but impossible for new lands to be identified and demarcated for indigenous communities. Areas set aside for "Quilombolas," as descendants of former slaves are known, are also affected by the decision.

    Another order removed the concerns of the LGBT community from consideration by the new human rights ministry.

    Most of South America, including Argentina has shifted to the right but some are only halfway there. They now vote right but lean left.

    Only 25% of federal employees are sitting home. Seventy five percent of the government is funded through Sept 2019. My wife is a contractor for DOD and all the fed employees at her facility are working everyday. I find it interesting that the government is set up so that the payroll people aren't "essential". In my mind this is absolutely intentional so that the politicians can use shut downs to hurt employees to give the politicians an angle.

    The issues are created by too many workers for the jobs,


    and a populace that stopped fighting against corruption because it helps spread the money around when there's too many workers for the jobs.

    Not "everyone". I'm a "private contractor" for a Federal agency and I'm furloughed until the budget deal is sorted out. If the deadline for my assignments passes before the budget is sorted out, I won't have a chance to work those assignments and I don't get paid unless I work.

    Nailed it: Creating the same conditions they fled. No assimilation, don't have to learn English, and don't even have to work when you can get "Green Pay Checks". A permanent underclass established for one purpose: DEMOCRAT votes.


    I have seen such behavior many times notably in the Dallas area. One family member moves in and within months there are 20 people living in the house. Happens even in nice areas of North Dallas, and Farmers Branch.

    Oh and the landlord gets to keep the meager deposit, but ends up selling his property at a loss.
