Greenies dog and cat food can have poisonous amounts of vitamin D in them that can actually kill your dog or cat

I tell ya what, boys, this is why I make my own dog food.
Big three gallon stew pot. Three quarts water. Ten pounds chicken legs and drumsticks. One pound dry brown rice.
Boil ten minutes.
One pound bag of dry lentils.
Boil twenty minutes more.
Two pounds chicken livers.
Boil 20 minutes more.
Cool it down, by putting the pot into 8 inches of cold water in the kitchen sink, cools it down fast. Remove the chicken bones. Pack up most of it in Tupperware and freeze. It is a bit of a hassle but it is some cheap dog food, very nutritious. It is better food than 90 percent of the humans on earth get.
Your doggie will go nuts for it.
Every month there is another alert on the crap that is put in commercial dog food.0 -

80 to 90% of our spoiled dogs ( 5 of them ) eat is baked chicken breast
with some canned dog food ( which is generally left in the bowl's )
I will cook up rice and a can of peas and mix it in about once a month use the chicken stock to boil the rice in
I will have too give Allen's dog food recipe a try ( for the dogs not me [:I] )0 -

You can get up to the minute recall info on this site. There are others, but I have seen them be late to announce before.

Thanks for that link, although I make my dog homemade Dog food, I do have friends that don't care about their dogs enough, and still buys Story bought0
