    It all depends on what you're going to use it for. two or three hundred yard shots on Groundhog's that would be okay...

    but if you're looking to shoot further than that I would go with something a little heavier. Something that will Buck the Wind better.

    When I had my 220 Swift, I used it on coyotes and of course the 25 grain would be to light. But even still for groundhogs I would prefer to use at least a 40 grain, that way I could shoot out long range and use it for what it's meant to be for.

    And of course I would use the 50 grain for coyotes.

    The 220 Swift is a true long-range shooter, why not buy projectiles that will let it shine for what it's intended to be?.

    Needless to say, this is just my own opinion

    Well if that's what you're going to use it for, I'd say go for it and report back to us...

    Is there any loading data using 25 grain projectile?

    Well if that's all you want to use it for, let us know how it works out. Post the numbers, I would be curious to see if a 25 grain projectile would hold up to the velocity that a 220 swift would subject it to

    I've run some 36gr Barnes Varmint Grenades through it, and they appeared to hold up in flight, unlike the old Hornady SXs, which IIRC were built for .222 velocities, tops. I would hope the 25s would hold up, and I like to think you could pass 4500fps with a decent, safe load. Curiosity killed the cat, etc.[:)]

    I think it only makes sense that I at least try to bend the space/time continuum directly over my chronograph.[:D]
