Gun selling advise

I have decided to move on one of the rifles. It is a Mdl 70 in 250-3000, first year. 1937. It is a in used condition, but unmessed with, not drilled, original butt plate and so. It has a Stith mount and a Weaver 330 scope. Still have the box and paperwork for the mount and lens covers, rear sight. There is also a custom made no drill mount to take modern mounts.

Now the question, an I better off trying to sell as a package or do I try to sell the mount and scope by them selves.

    just my 2 cents
    sell them separate it always seems most consider the scope / mount just a bonus on a gun they buy will not add a lot of value unless some rare combination
    and most rather put what scope they like on a rifle they buy
    any way.. sell scope / rifle / mount separate

    If the scope has knobs (as opposed to screw adjustment), it would have substantial value to military collectors.

    You'll almost always make more money by selling it separately. Unless it is just a $20 scope, but that doesn't apply here.

    I'm interested in the whole package.
    I hunt with vintage rifles, but my eyes need a scope.
    And 250-3000 is one of my favorites!

    That just might be the thing for a period correct guy. I like period correct rifles with period scopes, ect/ Think you will do well which ever road you take,[:)]

    Thank you for the opinions. Now to decide what to do. This is a picture of the scope, unfortunately it hasn't got the clickm stops and turrets

    Heck of a rifle.
    I'd list it as a package with a penny start and no reserve.
    And post it with a lot of quality pictures!

    ^^^^^most folks don't seem to give much extra for accessories. Sell them separately.
