Not so sure there won't be any new gun laws,, maybe not federal but if I was a Democrat and looked at what is happening in France I'd be worried and I'd be thinking of how to limit guns owned by citizens and/or new regulations and if they didn't conform, take their guns and/or arrest them. 0 -

The Republicans had a majority for the last two years and did NOTHING to roll back draconian gun laws. Now it will be an all out assault on gun owners and trying to impeach Trump. The ONLY positive thing that happened was the Supreme Court going a little more to the right but there?s no guarantee they will even hear gun cases. Yertle the Turtle is no friend to gun owners and honestly neither was that Fudd Ryan. Now we?re stuck with that evil C word again for who knows how long.[xx(] 0 -

Of course from 1939 to 1945 the controlling authority (ie Nazi's) perhaps favored different methods of execution.
I was always surprised that the guillotine was not back in use following the war - when the French populace turned on anyone associated with or cooperating with or collaborators with the Nazi's...

Even though the Republicans had a majority for the last two years they didn't have a large enough majority to pass any law they wanted like the Democrats did in Obama's first two years, so what could they have done?
I would have liked to see them investigate more of the things done while Obama was in office such as the "Operation Fast and Furious" gun sales to at least shed some light on the bad and illegal behavior that was ignored.0 -
