Veterans day
A guy I have been doing business with for over 25 yrs,said to me :"Thank you for your service"....I was dumbfounded,thats the first time anyone ever said that to me....and to be honest, I really don't need to be thanked.I did what I thought was right.The way some one could ever honor me would be for them to serve.I left it in S.E.Asia,and I don't care to look back.Things have really changed from the time I stepped off the tarmac and was greeted with screaming,nasty protesters saying real nasty stuff. I went home and went to work.This will be the first "Veterans Day" that I haven't worked..I think I'll take in the day...You want to thank a Vet? How about serving like he did...[:)]

I am a two fold veteran. First, I spent 20+ years in the Navy, retired and am still supporting thru Civil Service fixing Carriers for a living. Second, I have been married twice, and today was is our 24th anniversary. Happy anniversary Joan! And thank all of you veterans for your service past, present and future! 0 -
It was here 9/27-10/2 down in Rocky Mount, Franklin County. Family friend's son Skip is on that wall.
