I think I disagree with some talking heads.
The CNN Jim Acosta ban incident has some folks quaking in their boots about the freedom of the press, about the Constitution destroying meaning behind the ban. Some claim banning Acosta is stifling free speech in an attempt ot hide (__________) fill in the blank of the day.
I say horse feathers, bullsnarkey and balderdash.
Jim Acosta could go mute tomorrow and the world will still go round and round. CNN in its entirety could be banned from the air forever and the exact same "news" would still freely be published by others. The same loaded bloviating, asked 1,000 times already, rude off topic questions will still be asked.
The press room is full to maximum occupancy all the time, his seat will not remain empty. Jim Acosta, on his best day is an azzhole, we all know exactly what he is going to ask, we know he is going to be rude and disrespectful to the Office of the President double that towards Trump. We know CNN seldom publishes the truth and then only by accident. Another CNN reporter can ask questions, there is no loss of freedom to the press at all. The loss of freedom applies only to one azzhole agenda driven low class so-called journalist.
I hope Jim Acosta is never given his Press Room pass back, I hope he is barred from attending any function the US taxpayer is funding, including press conferences and scheduled interviews.
The press is still free, Jim Acosta can be transferred to report on the Iowa County fair and the ladies knitting club.
