Saudi Arabia executed and ?crucified? a man from Myanmar as punishment for murdering a woman and other crimes, the country?s state-run media announced Wednesday.
The grisly punishment was meted out to Elias Abulkalaam Jamaleddeen in the holy city of Mecca after he was convicted of breaking into the home of a Myanmar woman, firing a gun and then stabbing her to death.
He was also accused of robbing her house and another person?s home, stealing weapons and attempted rape, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
?Crucifixions? in Saudi Arabia typically involve beheading the condemned, then sewing their head back on and putting their body on public display ? hanging them from a pole or a cross, according to Amnesty International.
Saudi Arabia, one the world?s top executioners, beheaded 48 people in the first four months of 2018, according to Human Rights Watch ? but crucifixions are rare.

Nice!
I wonder if it's streamed live or on Network TV.
I also wonder about their crime rate. Probably similar to Singapore!0 -
I would think a doing few like that in Chicago would slow down the crime rate 0 -
Pay Per View could make a bundle on that. 0 -
They are in a big fight with Canada over human rights.
It is all but a shooting war, with Diplomats kicked out and trade cut off.0 -
As a specific deterrent it is highly effective. 0
