    Waiting to see the reaction from the car market when the new mid engine Corvette is shown..most likely at the Detroit auto show. It will probably be priced in the 150k range.

    my guess would be huge subsidies, we had a Hino plant open few years back, state gave big subsidies to get them, tax breaks, even signed a contract to supply the state trucks, only thing was they didn't make a heavy duty truck, first ones they gave the state for plowing and hauling, just couldn't do the job, transmission trouble and weak power, yet state had signed contract and had to pay for the rest of the trucks to fill contract.....gov't at its best

    GM and Ford do not want out of the car business, they want to move it over seas. They are taking advantage of slow car sales for now to move over seas without making waves. Everybody who pays attention to the automobile market knows that the market goes back and forth between cars being hot and trucks and SUV's being hot.

    GM has too much bling on vehicles, excellent styling but lower quality perceptions. Have you ever noticed the number of GM vehicles with one LED ($$$) light burned out? If you can't even get lighting right what else is going to go haywire? When your radio dies ($$$$) the car won't run.

    Too much focus on ON STAR and not enough focus on simple reliability at a fair cost.

    I agree! If we let China be the world's industrial power long enough, they will surpass us as the world superpower, and that would be a disaster for the entire world!

    I just read that Ford is set to announce plant closings and restructuring that will lay off double the workers GM is laying off. So much for GM being the bad guys. Meanwhile Ford is covered up with Police Utility orders that ours have been ordered for three months and we just got notification they should be built in January.
