C&R License Renewal Report...

I sent my form in for my renewal as soon as I received it at the end of June and my License expired this past Saturday on Sept. 1st and I didn't receive my new licenses in the mail. They charged the $30.00 to my debit card on July 7th.

So I called today and surprisingly talked to a very nice lady at the ATF office. She checked on the problem and said for some reason a new one hadn't been issued. She said they received my renewal form but it just didn't go anywhere. She said she would check futher and would call me back later and I thought to myself, yeah sure, you'll call me back in about 6 months...maybe.

Then I was shocked because about 45 minutes later she called back and said she had taken care of the problem and my license would be in the mail today. Later today she sent me an e-mail with a copy of my license attached to use until the original arrives without me even requesting it. [:0]

So evidently not everyone at the ATF is a horses behind after all. [:D]

She's probably the only one though because I've talked to some real deadbeats in that office before.

    As is common with government service your application ended up on the desk of a cubicle dweller who is poor at doing their job. Luckily your paperwork was saved by someone who DOES do their job.

    I have always got my renewals processed in an orderly fashion.

    You go through the ATF for your CCW?

    Never had a problem, they always send me a notification of renewal and I act promptly, license shows up in 3 weeks.

    Getting dealers to accept one is another thing.

    All the CCW permits are state issued. The Curio & Relic License (C&R) is for gun collectors.

    I had to call ATF when my CC was cancelled and a new one issued during my C&R renewal ( The Home Depot breach ). Got a nice lady on the phone, she pulled my file, changed the number and all was well. Never an issue when I have had to deal with them.
