2 1/2 Gallons Of Water
That is how much water my inside dogs drank yesterday. We keep the house at 72*. I would hate to see how much they would drink if they were outside dogs.
The dogs would not stay outside more than 5 minuets at a time. My dogs water bowl holds over 2 quarts of water and i refilled it 5 times during the day and night.
They love it when i put ice in the water bowl for them. My little dog Daisy pit/lab mix will either stand over a vent or lay on the vent and cool off.

My dog, when he is hot will go find a nice cement or tile floor to lay on after drinking his share of water....he is an inside outside dog so I don't worry much, he lets you know when he wants to come inside. 0 -
Don't know how big your dogs might be but that seems excessive.
My barn dogs weigh around 45# each and don't drink much more than a quart of water each even on these 100*+ heat index days and they're not just laying in the shade.0 -
I have 2 german shepherds. one weighs 125 and the other 70 (both inside dogs) and they only consume 5 quarts from 6 am to about 10pm 0 -
that much water may be a early sign of diabetes 0
