Did you choose to Vote, or not to Vote?

If you chose NOT to Vote, why not? (If you choose not to share, I somewhat understand,) [I'd be embarrassed also.]

If you chose NOT to Vote, yet are unhappy with the current situation, whom is to blame?

    About any election anymore is having to vote for the lesser of two evils there hasn't been a candidate for a long time that I have felt good about

    As I said earlier, if you choose not to Vote in the Primaries, I can somewhat understand. Once it comes down to the General Election, it is no longer hypothetical, one or the other will be in Office.

    Choose.

    (Or Not.)


    If you elect to NOT choose, one way or the other, what gives you the right to now complain?

    I vote for a candidate I would like to see in office.

    If there is not such a candidate, I do not vote.

    Tired of the childish lessor of two evils programming that virtually all people accept.

    I voted for POTUS in 2016, but did not vote for Trump or Clinton.

    Yes I am unhappy with the current situation. I am unhappy because we have a bunch of sheep who refuse to break free of the two party cabal that is destroying our country.

    So, with your explanation - would you rather have Trump or Hillary in office? If those were your two choices, (and they were,) which would you choose?

    Any other Vote, was wasted. You could have Voted for Mickey Mouse, the same result would have transpired.

    I don't know unless I don't know what the outcomes going to be. Here in Utah it's pretty much cut and dry who is going to be elected most of the time. And it's usually conservative Republicans that do...

    As far as the presidential elections, we all know the popular vote means absolutely nothing. Electoral votes are what counts in a presidential race, and my States always votes Republican...

    You got to understand that my state is so conservative that on the Utah Transit authority public buses, they have a rolling billboard on the side other buses for a gun shop in Orem... I don't think you can get more conservative than that...

    sadly what I tell people who vote for some one other than the two main parties . it would be great some wonderful people that would be good but until the underdogs get the air time funding and backing its like pissing in the wind to vote for one . aslo sadly if elected no other party would ever support any idea due to the party line we have developed

    I just read an article that stated that there were 1.5 million (that's not a typo) illegal votes cast in the 2016 election by one county alone. Los Angeles if you can't guess. So much for Hilary's "popular vote win" It went on to say the 12 of the 58 counties in California had more votes than they have eligable voters.
    Then start looking at other states like Florida and you get a picture of what a real American voter is up against.

    I take it as an article of faith that no one I would actually like to see in office would have so little self respect as to run.

    In the last election I believed strongly that neither of the major party candidates was acceptable for the job. Nothing I have seen since has changed that opinion about either of them. I voted third party and was not too happy about that either.

    Face it. Voting for the lesser of two (or more) evils is the way ALL
    elections work. They always have and always will work that way. You will NEVER find a candidate that 100% matches your personal views. The only way that would happen is if YOU run for the office. So, knowing that and knowing that ONE of the existing candidates is going win, the best you CAN do is vote for the one that MOST NEARLY supports your positions. Simple. In all my years of voting, I have had to look at Candidate A, B, and sometimes even C. None was ever even CLOSE to perfect. But, I pick my key issues and vote for the candidate that best matches me on those issues. If your issue is abortion, fine. If your issue is gun control, or prayer in school, also fine. Vote for the candidate that best agrees with you on those issues. But, NOT voting is automatically a vote for your opponent.

    Too many sheep are content to accept the crap the major parties spew.

    By voting 3rd party, my hope is that some day these mindless sheep will see the light and vote this conscience, not their fear.

    It is for my grandchildren.

    When the day comes where the GOP presents a small government, Constitutioinally literate candidate in the General Election, I will vote for him or her. Until that date, they, and anyone who falls for the 'wasted vote' conditioning can #sand.

    Well Don, if you don't vote when no candidate meets your standards 100%, you are guaranteed to get a politician you don't want. Since about half to two-thirds of legal voters don't vote, it appears that it is people like YOU who got us into this mess.

    Honestly I think the representative system is obsolete and with the technology we have today no longer a requirement of our process.

    Obviously in the days the system was created it was impossible to truly have a government of the people for the people by the people.

    So we elected representatives to speak for us. Still bound by the bill of rights and constitution.

    Clearly now we could vote on funding, and law making with a 2/3 or more situation and eliminate the thieving, lying, do nothing useless buzzards who supposedly represent us now.

    And honestly perhaps a proven awareness of the thing we are voting on is in order, if you have no clue you don't get to vote, if you have made yourself aware of the particulars you get a say.

    I have never demanded 100%, and never will, and to date have voted in every POTUS general election since I became eligible. Thus far I have also participated in all GOP Caucuses and/or Primaries.

    It is not too much to ask that a supposedly conservative party field a small-government, Constitutionally literate candidate. If that is the mindset, I can live with disagreeing on details.

    There were people in the GOP primary that while I disagreed on details, had this mindset. That is how I voted. These people, however, were tossed out by the rank-and-file GOP primary voter, and their choice did not even come close to meeting either of these two very basic criteria.

    To suggest that people who refuse to support such idiocy are the problem is totally illogical. We got into this mess because people like you make the mindless choice to support candidates who have probably not read, much less would follow the Constitution.

    I will have no part of it anymore, and will continue to vote for who I think is the best person on the ballot, regardless of whether he or she is a member of a major party.

    I take everything into consideration when giving someone my vote. Mainly being which one will violate the Constitution the least (because no Politicians can be trusted). I also take into consideration which candidate is least likely to support gun control. Well I damn sure didn?t vote for the witch and Trump had long ago voiced his opinion on guns(nothing more than a NYC Fudd in my opinion when he first ran and told you he would flip when given the chance, and now proven correct). Voted Johnson but admit I hated his VP choice. We?re never going to get a perfect candidate on all subjects but the 2nd Amendment is not one I?m going to give a pass on.
