CC carry

Just wondering how many of you carry on a day-to-day basis. Obviously, excluding LEOs. And what do you carry? I am old, turning 76 in a few days. I live in a small town (15,000) in the Panhandle of Texas. But I travel 2 months out of the year into every major city in Texas. This world that we live in is not the world that I grew up in. About a year ago I made the decision to carry every day and I do. Mostly at Sig 938 or a Sir 238 (in a sneaky pete) depending on how I am dressed. What do you do?

    If I leave my house, I'm carrying. Concealed is a Ruger LCPII, in my truck or car, a Sprgfld XDs 45 ACP. And yes I carry insurance. I'm 73 and too slow to run and too old to fight, so yes, I will use one if absolutely necessary.

    if I'm dressed, I'm carrying. How I am dressed dictates the carry, generally from Ruger LCP II to Sig P365.

    In summer - in heat - in confined spaces...

    Brazilian Air Force Officer Model INI Jaguar sa/da revolver
    Colt clone - well made - 98% excellent - custom made holster with leather and metal allows easy and secure from front pocket via a wide metal spring steel clip / can also do belt carry - thumb snap retention strap (original to the gun)

    Superb blue gloss finish and mint bore / perfect timing

    .32 S&W Long (5 loaded cylinders - hammer lowered into empty cylinder) 2 each 5 round reload speed strips - copper coated double end target wadcutters or Browning brand +P soft lead conical flat points

    I carry every day. If I'm awake and dressed, I have a pistol on me.

    My normal every day gun is a Ruger SR1911, Lightweight Commander model. I carry that and a brace of spare magazines, concealed, every day.

    I choose my clothing accordingly, not the other way around. I have smaller guns, but I figure any miscreant that needs shooting, probably needs to be shot decisively, resolutely, and finally.

    I figure the big .45 caliber Cor-Bons and Speers will do the trick.

    Daily carry depends on where I am heading that day . Usually a S&W shield 45 or a pa63 deep concealment a colt junior 25 acp although I do have a very nice almost new in the box Mauser hsc that I use sometimes Wife carries a Smith airweight 38 spl

    Anytime I leave the house, I'm carrying. Usually a Glock 42 (380) because of it's reduced size and weight.

    Either a S&W mod 60 .357 or a Sig P365. Once in a while a Smith 637.

    I carry everyday except at work (I do carry non lethal options of defense at work..I work in a mental health facility and guns aren?t allowed). I have four guns in rotation
    Ruger LCP .380
    Taurus 850 .38 Special
    Glock 32 in .357SIG
    SIG Sauer P250C in .40 S&W

    I was carrying a glock 33 in 357 sig till I bought a sig 365 which is now my everyday carry.

    Same here SW model 60 with +P. Most of the time it is hot. I still prefer wheel guns.


    Coat weather, I like carrying Colt Delta Elite or SW 19.

    Revolver, no safety bar. Hammer down on a loaded cyl is just asking for trouble.

    I work at a college, so I haven't even bothered with the time and cost of getting a CCW permit.

    The times that I've felt the need to be armed, I've said "fark it" and had a shotgun (Mossberg 500 12ga), PCC (Glock mag AR-9) or battle rifle (FN-FAL build) close at hand

    Most of the time, this is after a drunk has gone through my fence at the wee hours, the responding FHP don't even bother me about it :)
